What is gutka? is it harmful for health?

    Gutkha is a powdery, granular light brownish to white substance made of betel nut, tobacco, catechu and lime.It is consumed much like chewing tobacco, and like chewing tobacco it is considered responsible for oral cancer and other severe negative health effects.Due to its often flavorful taste, easy availability and cheapness, it is popular with poor children in India.

    Gutkha can well be defined as a devil in disguise. Promoted as a mouth freshener, this betel nuts and tobacco preparation is designed to release a chemical reaction that makes it an addictive proposition.
