Holi is a festival where people forget everything and go with a new start . Colors are means of communication where one says ''I have coloured you with mine'' it means now there are no more clashes or angers for each other. Hence celebrate holi festival with colors.

Holi is celebrated in the same way as Diwali. The story behind it is that Hiranyakasyapa the demon king wanted to kill his son Prahallad (who is a devotee of lord Vishnu) by throwing him into fire. Prahallad was made to sit on his aunt\'s lap(Holika - had a boon that fire could not harm her). But when they lit fire, Holika was burnt to ashes leaving colours in the flames. This is the reason why we use colours instead of crackers.

    Play safe Holi

Holi, the festival of colours is popular in North India, where people smear each other with loads of powdered colours and throw coloured water at each other.
